An effective way to prevent amputations

Fortunately, the world of medicine is changing constantly – scientists keep developing new vaccines and medicines, finding new technologies, doctors have new, improved treatment methods at their disposal. The existing world-wide researches claim that 1-5 % of patient with an ischemic disease suffer from critical upper limb ischemia. The highest incidence rate is registered in patients suffering from diabetes, which amounts circa 100.000 high amputations in EU countries and the USA.

Clinical trials confirmed the effectiveness of the treatment with patient’s own stem bone marrow stem cells. The existing promising results of applied research prove that the bone marrow stem cells are able to support the renewal of vessels and to restore the circulation of limbs closed-vessel system. The patient’s cells and tissues are thus able to start the healing in patient’s suffering from lower limb critical ischemia and to save lower limbs of patients suffering from diabetes.
